Yesterday was an extremely chill day. We didn't have a huge plan other than not having a plan :)
Ruthie and Julia both had appointments to meet with other people in the morning so I got to sleep in. Then when they wrapped up their engagements, we had lunch as a family. The afternoon consisted of making Christmas cookies. Haha!!! Even though we are a little behind, better late than never, huh? It was just so busy during the holiday here that we hadn't gotten to them. But all of us agreed that we still needed to bake them. So yesterday, we rolled out the dough, found the cookie cutters, and seriously decorated about 6 dozen cookies. What we're going to do with them all I don't know - certainly not eat them all by ourselves!
After such a sweet endeavor, we decided we needed to get some fresh air, so we headed over to the Windsor to walk and work out. It's always so refreshing to be outside when exercising. I know I'm going to miss that aspect when we're back home. It's a little more miserable going out in sub-freezing temperatures than it is in the mild tropics :)
We ended the day with a delicious dinner and a movie. And then some reading for me and Ruthie. It's nice to have a little time to read for fun. Definitely a nice change after a semester of intense, intellectual study when the only things I read were my textbooks.
