Lessons of Life

Maturity is hard. Transformation is painful. But in the end, something beautiful is achieved.

These last few days I have felt like a caterpillar trying to break out of a cocoon or a toddler constantly trying to learn how to walk and ending up face-first on the ground. It’s difficult adjusting to change, and sometimes in the process one ends up with bruises and injuries.

Even though I may be lonely at times, I know One who will never leave me alone. When I fail to guard my heart, His heart overflows with love for me. During times when depression tempts me, His joy is ever-present. And in the midst of change, I can rely on the only One who never changes.

These truths I must rely upon; otherwise, life could overwhelm me.
